**What is SRT?** Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) is an open-source protocol purpose-built for delivering professional video securely over any public internet connection, even in challenging network conditions. It's the industry standard for cloud-based live video contribution.

**What is RTMP?** Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) is a protocol originally developed for streaming audio and video over the internet. Widely supported across encoders, platforms and destinations, it remains a common choice for live video ingest and distribution, particularly when delivering to social platforms and CDNs.

**What is Zixi?** Zixi is a proprietary protocol designed for reliable, low-latency delivery of live video over IP networks. Built with error correction and stream monitoring built in, it is widely adopted by broadcasters and service providers who require predictable, high-quality delivery over the public internet.

### Maximum number of inputs and outputs per pool

By default, a Link pool supports up to 20 inputs and up to 100 outputs. Creating additional inputs or outputs will fail.

|| Use multiple pools to manage your different projects. Management and operations are simplified when the number of inputs and outputs is kept humanely reasonable.

| If you need to use more inputs or outputs in a single pool, please just contact us, as it may require additional configuration or costs.

### Maximum Supported bitrate

By default, a Link pool supports SRT streams with a data bitrate up to 20 Mb/s.
Going above that bitrate threshold will display a warning in the input, and may impact system stability.

| If you need to activate the use of bitrates higher than 20 Mb/s, please just contact us. We will be glad to activate the support of higher bitrates on your pool.

### Maximum number of CIDR for SRT Listener

When using SRT Listener connection mode for ingest or delivery with Link, beyond using a passphrase, access can be additionally secured by restricting clients than allowed to connect by specifying allows IP addresses through CIDR ([Classless Inter-Domain Routing - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classless_Inter-Domain_Routing#CIDR_notation)).

A single CIDR specifies a continuous range of IP addresses. It can be very specific, down to exactly 1 IP address (e.g. 1.2.3.4/32), or target a range of servers in the same subnet.

In Link, the number of CIDR is limited as follows:
* Ingest point : up to 1 CIDR
* Delivery point : up to 3 CIDR
