Quortex Switch fundamentals

Quortex Switch is a multi-CDN management software which leverage the content steering standards for both DASH and HLS video streams.

Through its user interface and its API, Quortex Switch allows you to segment your audience so you can optimize the usage of your CDN on both, the performances and the cost.

The interface drives you through the creation of the different audiences and the registration of your CDNs

• Segments can be built based on geolocation, on network (ASN), on device or on protocol.
• CDNs are registered and associated to their specific "pathway"

Once you tree is built you should have a view like this:

From there the system is already working and will return a CDN usage order based on the user data.

You do not need to start or stop anyhting.

Each of the players playing a stream with this steering server registered in the manifest will connect to the server every few seconds/minutes to check is the CDN recommendation has changed or not.
