For example, on Mac OS, simply drag and drop the OBS icon in the application folder.
Once installed and started, the OBS Studio application looks like this :
To configure OBS Studio for streaming, you must first choose a source. In this example, we will create a source of type Media Source with an MP4 video file.
This source will be associated with the active scene. In this example, the active scene is "My OBS Scene"
Once the source is selected, OBS Studio starts playing the video in loop
This section describes the few simple steps to configure an input on Quortex I/O.
In the case of a stream coming from OBS Studio, you must create an SRT type input in listener mode.
To configure a new SRT input, once connected to the Quortex I/O platform, all you have to do is go to the input menu and click on the "Add an input" button.
You will first choose the input type "SRT Input" then by clicking on "Next" ....
... the connection type "Listener".
Optionally, by entering a CIDR Block, you can define the list of IPv4 addresses (with subnets) that are allowed stream to this input
You just have to choose the name of the input (here, "My OBS input") and click on the "Add" button
This input will be added to the input list and after a few seconds it will be ready to listen your SRT stream.
You can then open Input properties by clicking on the pencil-shaped button to the left of the input.
Among all the properties, you can see the "Connection string" which will be used in the next step. To put it in the clipboard, just click on "Copy".
The purpose of this step is to configure OBS Studio to send the source configured in step 1 to the input configured in step 2.
The streaming configuration parameters are found in the OBS Studio application by clicking on “Settings”.
In the "Stream" section, you must choose a Service of type "Custom ..."
In the Server field, just paste the “Connection string” that you copied at the end of step 2.
By clicking on Ok, the streaming starts.
You can check the streaming characteristics at the bottom of the OBS Studio window and check the duration of your broadcast, the frame rate and the bitrate.
You can also check the "Receiving" status of your SRT input in the Input properties on Quortex I/O.
