Using RTMP Output (Social Networks interface)
Need to stream your live content to Social Network Platforms ? Quortex Play supports RTMP(S) as output protocol which allows to send your transcoded content to such platforms and expand your audience via Social Networks.
This article describes how to configure Quortex to enable RTMP(S) outputs.
The configuration of the Input, Processing, Targets is made as usual. RTMP(S) output are configured in a specific tab called "Push endpoints".
Open the "Push endpoint" tab and add an endpoint as shown below.
Click on "Add and configure" to open the end point configuration window.
Input: Select the source to be sent
Processing: RTMP does not support ABR profiles. You need to select the specific transcoding profile (video + audio) to use for the RTMP output.
Output: Fill your Social Network URL in the Remote URL field, as well as the Stream key that identifies your account in the the Social Network platform.
Name your end point

Note: Please make sure that the selected audio and video profiles are supported by the target platform. For instance, YouTube requires a 44.1Khz sampling rate!
You can monitor the endpoint status and get details by clicking on its row in the push endpoints lists:
A diagram depicts the workflow and provides a detailed status as shown below:
To edit the endpoint configuration, click on the "Configuration" tab. For other actions such as delete, click on the "Advanced" tab.
You may also disable the endpoint temporarily (Quortex Play keeps the configuration in its database).
Once the connection with the RTMP destination is established, the endpoint becomes active. At this stage, you are streaming your live content to the Social Network channel !
